In the North hemisphere, this time of the year is cold and harsh. There is less sunlight and everything can seem harder to achieve. We can feel tired and eager for the Christmas holidays to come to have a bit of rest. Despite our skills, we may feel burdened and overwhelmed. For example, we may feel exhausted by the many responsibilities we have has a parent or in our work. We may doubt ourselves and think we should be more productive and successful.
The Capricorn time of the year is typically one that requires more endurance and perseverance.
We can take this time as an opportunity to put in practice the qualities that have been strive for in the previous months. When confronted to obstacles, if we don’t know what we pursue we might not find the strength to go onward. The New Moon is a good time to ponder on our deepest intentions.
What motivates you to do what you do?
What are you trying to achieve?
Capricorn is a sign of work and commitment. It invites us to develop new strengths to improve our capacity to participate consciously and with responsibility to what is meaningful for us.
Capricorn is also about achievements without needing recognition or validation from the outside. This sort of stability and autonomy will come from experience of course, but also come from choosing deep down to trust oneself.
This New Moon is inviting to us to reflect on how solid and capable we are to stand up and act towards our goals in life.
The Capricorn month of the year encourages us to use our inner resources to contribute to society. Our actions can be focused on service rather than to gain security. When we take responsibility for our lives we are more able to act in a way that is truly significant for us, this is the service.
It is not about becoming enslaved or forcing ourselves to do good deeds but rather to decide what is meaningful enough to work towards.
The energy of Capricorn is inviting us, once our goal is clear, to willingly stand up and act. Capricorn is about sovereignty. Sovereignty doesn’t happen from status or wealth; it comes from an ability to give direction to our own lives.
The things that matter more to us are not often materialized instantly. Capricorn is the patience and maturity needed to make our objective a reality. We may pause here and there to regain strength but we will continue to put one foot in front of the other. Capricorn is when we find this sort of endurance and authority onto ourselves.
Capricorn is not only ambitious in a material way; ultimately his aim is to follow the call of the Soul. It means following our inner voice under good or bad weather, under joyful or difficult moments. The fulfillment that comes from it makes the journey worth every single step.
